EMRoS - The World's Smallest Programmable Robot in 1994

EMRoS, stand for Epson Micro Robot System, was listed by the 1994 Guiness Book of World Records as the world's smallest robot. It was manufactered in Japan by Seiko-Epson.

A total of 3 generations of EMRoS were manufactured Limited numbers were manufactured and each EMRoS has a unique serial number.

Here are some features of EMRoS.

• It has about 100 individual parts.
• It two eyes that blink and the eyes contain sensors as well.
• It can be programmed to turn left or right (any degree), go forward, stop, and rotate (up to 64 instructions total). He also performs pre-programmed routines!
• Shining a small focused flashlight (included) into his eyes sets the program modes.
• The carrying case functions as a charging station, giving him at least 3 minutes running time per charge.
• It can travel speed is about 1 ips.
